Youths Wearing Balaclavas Damage Tents at Popular Bristol Campsite

A group of youths caused damage to tents at a campsite near Chew Magna, Bristol, in the early hours of Monday, July 6. Avon and Somerset Police responded to reports of tent vandalism at Nesta Camping, located off Denny Lane.

Between 1:10 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., multiple tents were torn during the incident. Witnesses described two males involved: one wearing a balaclava alongside a black tracksuit top with a blue stripe, and another wearing a white T-shirt and a hat.

Despite police patrolling the area, the offenders were not apprehended. Authorities are now appealing to the public for any information that could help identify those responsible. Anyone with relevant details is urged to call Avon and Somerset Police on 101, referencing log number 065 of 06/07.

A force spokesperson stated, “We attended a campsite off Denny Lane, near Chew Magna, after reports of youths damaging tents between 1:10 and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6. Some tents were torn, but there was no sign of the offenders when officers arrived. We ask anyone with information to contact us.”
