A 22-year-old man from Newport has appeared in court following drug-related charges in Bath. Regis Mbongompasi was presented at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on 24 September, facing charges of possession with intent to supply the class A drugs heroin and crack cocaine, as well as possession of the class B drug cannabis.
Avon and Somerset Police revealed that the investigation began when a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) on patrol in Bath was approached with information from a member of the public. Subsequently, officers attended an address in the city where a quantity of drugs was discovered.
Following the hearing, Mbongompasi was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, 26 October.
