Yeovil’s Little Discoveries Nursery Earns High Praise for Welcoming Atmosphere and Quality Early Education

Little Discoveries Nursery in Yeovil has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating in all categories by Ofsted, bringing joy to both staff and children alike.

As part of the SS&L group, the nursery was recognized for its warm, inviting environment and excellent early years teaching during the latest inspection.

The Ofsted report emphasized that children feel “happy, safe, and secure” while highlighting how staff consistently respond to children with positivity, praise, and encouragement.

Inspectors also lauded the diverse range of stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that support children’s development across all areas of the curriculum.

Nursery manager Naomi Bartin expressed pride in her team’s dedication: “We are truly fortunate to have such a hardworking staff. The children’s voices and learning experiences guide everything we do, allowing us to tailor our curriculum so their early years at Little Discoveries are both meaningful and enriching. Watching the children grow and thrive is incredibly rewarding.”

Kathryn Baker, chief executive of SS&L, congratulated the team: “This outstanding Ofsted outcome reflects the unwavering commitment of Little Discoveries’ staff to delivering high-quality early years education in a nurturing setting where every child can flourish.”

Caring for children aged three months to five years, Little Discoveries Yeovil accommodates up to 32 youngsters. Since joining Little Discoveries Childcare Ltd in 2020, the nursery has continued to provide funded early years places and maintains an inclusive environment that fosters curiosity and builds confidence.
