In a compelling National League clash, Southend United staged a stunning late comeback to secure a 3-2 victory over Yeovil Town, handing the Glovers their first defeat of the season.
Yeovil had appeared firmly in control, racing to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Archie Chambers, who struck midway through the first half, and captain Luke McCormick, who doubled the advantage shortly after the hour mark. The Glovers arrived in confident form, having won their previous three matches and remaining one of only two unbeaten sides in the division.

Eleven minutes from time, Leon Chambers-Parillon netted his third goal of the season after a determined run and hold-up play by new signing Promise Omochere, who had been introduced as a substitute just three minutes prior.
The decisive moment arrived five minutes from full-time when Omochere himself etched his name on the scoresheet, beating his marker with deft skill before firing a powerful shot into the roof of the net. This thrilling climax ensured Southend claimed all three points, much to the delight of their supporters.
