Yeovil Town has continued its busy week of signings with the acquisition of striker Stephen Walker, who has committed to the club on a two-year deal.
Walker arrives from Scarborough Athletic, where he was the leading scorer last season, netting 18 goals in 39 league appearances and helping the team secure a play-off spot in the National League North.
Bringing a wealth of experience from both the Football League and non-league football, Walker began his career at Middlesbrough. He advanced through their academy ranks and signed his first professional contract in 2016. He made his senior debut in the 2018 EFL Cup against Notts County, contributing an assist and participating in the penalty shoot-out.

During his tenure at Middlesbrough, Walker gained valuable first-team experience with loan spells at MK Dons, Crewe Alexandra, and Tranmere Rovers. Notably, he scored his first professional goal for Crewe in 2020, continuing his growth in League Two.
After leaving Middlesbrough in 2023, Walker played non-league football for West Auckland Town and Whitby Town before joining Scarborough Athletic in February 2025. His career also includes appearances for England at the under-17, under-18, and under-19 levels, showcasing his promising talent on the international stage.
On his signing, Walker shared his enthusiasm: “I’m absolutely delighted and grateful for the opportunity. I’m buzzing to get started. When I spoke with Jamie and the gaffer, their vision and ambition for the season really convinced me.”
Adjusting to a higher league and moving away from home presents challenges, but Walker is eager to embrace them. “This is full-time football for me now—a real step up. I’m determined to hit the ground running, score goals, provide assists, and help the team succeed.”
Walker describes himself as a technical player who likes to run behind defenders and link up with creative teammates. “I hope to bring whatever is needed. Scoring goals will help the team perform well and compete at the top. I am ambitious and ready to contribute my best.”
