Yeovil Town Strengthen Squad with Three New Signings

Yeovil Town have further reinforced their squad with three exciting new signings as manager Billy Rowley continues to build a competitive team.

Following the recent arrivals of striker Stephen Walker and midfielder Johl Powell, Yeovil have now completed deals for defenders Archie Davies and Joe Gubbins, along with goalkeeper Jos Barker.

Archie Davies joins the Glovers on a two-year contract after leaving Carlisle United. The 27-year-old defender brings valuable experience, having made over 150 senior appearances across the Football League, National League, and League of Ireland. His presence is expected to add solidity and leadership at the back.

Joe Gubbins also signs a two-year deal, arriving from Southend United. At 24, Gubbins impressed last season with the Shrimpers, featuring in 41 games during their National League play-off push and contributing to their FA Trophy triumph at Wembley Stadium, where he calmly scored a penalty in the shootout.

In goal, Jos Barker strengthens Yeovil’s options with his own two-year contract. The 22-year-old goalkeeper comes from Walton & Hersham, where he played a pivotal role in their title-winning campaign last season. Barker kept an impressive 21 clean sheets across all competitions, helping the Swans secure promotion to the National League South. Now, reunifying with manager Rowley, Barker is set to continue his development at Huish Park.

These signings enhance Yeovil Town’s defensive and goalkeeping depth as the club gears up for the challenges ahead.
