Yeovil Town has further expanded its squad as manager Billy Rowley continues to reinforce the team for the upcoming challenges. Building on earlier signings of striker Stephen Walker and midfielder Johl Powell, the Glovers have now secured three more key players: defenders Archie Davies and Joe Gubbins, along with goalkeeper Jos Barker.
Archie Davies, 27, joins Yeovil on a two-year contract after leaving Carlisle United. Bringing extensive experience to Huish Park, Davies boasts over 150 senior appearances across the Football League, National League, and League of Ireland, promising solidity in defense.
Joe Gubbins, 24, also signs a two-year deal, arriving from Southend United. After a strong season with the Shrimpers, where he made 41 appearances, Gubbins played a pivotal role in Southend’s National League play-off run and FA Trophy victory at Wembley, confidently scoring in the penalty shootout.

Goalkeeper Jos Barker, aged 22, completes the trio by joining from Walton & Hersham on a two-year contract. Following a standout season in which he kept 21 clean sheets and helped the Swans secure promotion to the National League South, Barker reunites with manager Rowley, under whom he previously developed his skills. His move to Somerset marks a significant step forward in his career.
These strategic signings reflect Yeovil Town’s commitment to building a competitive and experienced squad, aiming for success in the coming season.
