Yeovil Town delivered an impressive performance, securing a 2-1 victory over Oldham in the National League. Sonny Blu-Lo Everton was the star of the match, finding the net twice for the hosts, while the Latics suffered their third consecutive defeat.
Despite the loss, Oldham managed to maintain a six-point lead over eighth place in the promotion race, but their chances of finishing third now appear slim.
Everton opened the scoring for the Glovers in the 10th minute with a close-range finish and doubled the lead in the 49th minute by converting Ciaran McGuckin’s cross. Although Jake Caprice scored a late consolation goal for Oldham in stoppage time, it was not enough to alter the outcome, with Yeovil Town securing their third win in four matches.
