Yeovil Town Secure Signing of Promising Attacker Mason Obeng

Yeovil Town have successfully signed Mason Obeng on a two-year deal, bringing the highly-rated 22-year-old attacker from Walton & Hersham to Huish Park. Despite significant interest from several National League clubs, Obeng chose to join the Glovers, eager to make the step up and contribute to the team’s ambitions.

Obeng arrives after a remarkable season with Walton & Hersham, where he played a key role in their triumph in the Southern Premier South. Throughout the campaign, he delivered 22 goal contributions in 42 appearances, helping the Swans secure promotion to the National League South.

Reflecting on his move, Obeng stated, “Taking this step has always been my goal, and joining Yeovil City was an easy decision. Knowing the manager gives me confidence, and I am excited to help the team push for the playoffs or even the title. I play to entertain, create chances, and score goals—I just love to win.”

His impressive performances last season also earned him the club’s Players’ Player of the Season award, highlighting his impact on and off the pitch.

At Yeovil Town, Obeng reunites with manager Billy Rowley, who initially signed him from Aldershot Town in summer 2024. Obeng’s development began in Queens Park Rangers’ academy, where he established himself as a quick, direct, and hardworking attacker ready to make a difference at Yeovil.
