Yeovil Town have successfully secured the signing of highly-rated attacker Mason Obeng on a two-year deal, bringing the 22-year-old from Walton & Hersham to Huish Park. Despite significant interest from several National League clubs, Obeng chose to join the Glovers, marking an important step forward in his career.
Obeng arrives following a standout season at Walton & Hersham, where he made 42 appearances and contributed 22 goals and assists. His impressive performances helped the Swans clinch the Southern Premier South title and earn promotion to the National League South.
Reflecting on his move, Obeng said, “It was always a goal of mine to take the next step, and now I’m here. Knowing the manager gave me confidence, making this an easy decision. I want to be a key player in helping Yeovil return to their former levels. I enjoy entertaining, creating chances, scoring goals, and making football enjoyable. Ultimately, I aim to push for the play-offs or even the title.”

Obeng’s achievements didn’t go unnoticed as he was honoured with the Players’ Player of the Season award during his time in South London. His move reunites him with Yeovil Town manager Billy Rowley, who previously signed him from Aldershot Town in 2024. A product of Queens Park Rangers’ academy, Obeng has built a reputation as a quick, direct, and hardworking attacker, qualities that Yeovil Town will be eager to leverage in the coming seasons.
