Yeovil Town have bolstered their squad this summer by signing talented midfielder Johl Powell from Walton & Hersham on a two-year contract.
Powell arrives at Huish Park after an impressive tenure with the Swans, where he netted 21 goals in 39 league appearances last season. Demonstrating consistent form, he has achieved double-digit goal tallies in each of his last two campaigns.
Reuniting with Yeovil manager Billy Rowley, Powell first linked up with the Glovers’ boss when he joined Walton & Hersham in 2024. He is the second player this summer to reconnect with Rowley, following Mason Obeng’s signing last month.

Powell’s football journey began at Millwall before progressing to the Charlton Athletic academy, where he made his senior debut in an EFL Trophy match against Leyton Orient in November 2020. After leaving Charlton, Powell gained valuable experience in non-league football with stints at Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels, and Dover Athletic, competing in the National League South.
With his proven goal-scoring ability and versatility, Powell is set to play a crucial role in Yeovil Town’s ambitions for the upcoming season.
