Yeovil Town achieved their first Enterprise National League win of the season with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Gateshead at Huish Park. Following two consecutive draws, the Glovers started strongly, taking the lead inside two minutes thanks to an excellent strike from Stephen Walker. Despite Gateshead goalkeeper Peter Jameson making several impressive saves, Yeovil maintained control throughout the match.
Jameson notably denied attempts from Ryan Jones and Luke McCormick on multiple occasions, while Gateshead’s Luke Supyk also tested Yeovil’s goalkeeper Jos Barker midway through the first half. Yeovil’s persistence paid off in the final stages when Luke McCormick, the former Bristol Rovers midfielder, scored twice to seal a decisive victory. His first goal came nine minutes from time, with a second added in the closing moments to cement the Glovers’ dominant performance.
