Yeovil Town ended a frustrating three-match winless stretch with an emphatic 4-1 triumph against Solihull Moors in the National League. Summer signing Johl Powell proved decisive, netting two late goals to secure his first goals for the club and help the Glovers ascend to sixth place in the table.
Powell, 25, who joined Yeovil from Southern Premier League side Walton and Hersham, made an immediate impact after coming off the bench. He scored the vital third goal just four minutes after entering the match and remarkably only 60 seconds after Solihull had reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the 83rd minute.
Earlier in the game, Ryan Jones broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, setting the tone for Yeovil’s dominant display. Slavi Spasov also found the net, scoring his second goal in as many games just before the hour mark, after a run of seven goalless matches.

The visitors briefly reignited the contest when Matty Carson’s corner found the net off Yeovil goalkeeper Josiah Barker with only three minutes remaining, causing some late nerves. However, Powell’s injury-time strike quelled any concerns and ensured a comfortable victory for the Glovers.
This emphatic win not only ended Yeovil Town’s winless run but also propelled them back into the play-off positions, boosting confidence as the season progresses.
