Yeovil Town has revealed its retained list for the upcoming season, confirming that ten players will leave Huish Park following the expiration of their contracts. Departing Glovers include Alex Whittle, Finn Cousin-Dawson, Kyle Ferguson, Jacob Maddox, Josh Sims, Jonathon Page, Charlie Cooper, Aaron Jarvis, Harvey Greenslade, and Tahvon Campbell. Additionally, all eight loan players will return to their parent clubs after their loan spells conclude.
In contrast, two out-of-contract players have signed new deals to remain at the club. Matt Gould has extended his contract and will continue in his dual role as Player and Goalkeeper Coach for another season. More notably, Brett McGavin has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him at Huish Park until the summer of 2028.
Since joining Yeovil Town from Torquay United in June 2024, McGavin has become an essential part of the squad. He has made 83 appearances and scored nine goals in green and white. Known for his consistent midfield presence, McGavin brings energy, technical skill, and precise delivery to the team. His expertise as a set-piece specialist adds an important attacking threat, according to the club’s official statement.
