Stone, who became the Glovers’ first-choice goalkeeper last January and featured 17 times, exited the club last Friday. His limited game time this summer made his departure unsurprising. Stepping into his boots is Jed Ward, a 22-year-old keeper on a season-long loan from Bristol Rovers. Ward debuted unofficially in the recent friendly against Weston-super-Mare and brings with him 42 Football League appearances plus extensive National League experience. Manager Mark Cooper praised Ward’s confidence, agility, and command of the penalty area, highlighting his potential impact for the season.
Joining Ward on loan are forwards Ben Wodskou and Byron Pendleton, both from Birmingham City. Wodskou, 18, last season impressed during his loan at Rushall Olympic in the National League North and is eager to prove himself at this higher tier. Midfielder Luke McCormick, signed on a one-year deal, brings valuable league experience from spells at Chelsea, AFC Wimbledon, and Bristol Rovers, with manager Cooper lauding his game intelligence and energy.

Closing out the club’s recent recruitment is 30-year-old striker Junior Morias, who arrives from Notts County. Known for his robust style and experience across multiple clubs, Morias aims to inject leadership and goals into Yeovil’s attacking options.
