Yeovil Town Football Club’s new owner, Prabhu Srinivasan, has declared his intention to regain ownership of Huish Park stadium and the surrounding land for the club. The stadium was sold to South Somerset Council during a financially difficult period for the Glovers, as a lifeline amid turbulent ownership and challenging times.
Although Srinivasan acknowledges that immediate upgrades to the ground are not the top priority, reclaiming the stadium is a key goal to restore pride and strengthen the connection between the club and its supporters. Speaking at the recent Meet the Owners event, he said, “In my opinion, this stadium is one of the best in the National League. We should thank everyone who helped make it happen. Upgrades can come later, but first, let’s focus on bringing the stadium back to us. There are strong emotions tied to owning the stadium, and this is a top priority for the club.”
Nicholas Brayne, the club’s chief advisor, emphasized the importance of long-term sustainability: “The most important thing is that this football club remains here for life—for you and for future generations. Every decision we make aims to ensure the club’s viability. Football clubs like Yeovil, rich in heritage and vital to their communities, face challenges ahead. But by maximizing opportunities around the ground, we can create new revenue streams to secure the club’s future.”

Executive chairman Stuart Robins also addressed the issue of the club’s crest, which has caused some unrest among supporters, particularly after some opponents used the old badge last season. The crest remains prominently displayed inside Huish Park. While updating the badge isn’t the immediate focus, Robins acknowledged its emotional significance: “There are two things very close to supporters’ hearts: the stadium and our badge. We understand the passion and concerns surrounding these issues. Our priority was to secure new ownership to move the club forward, but we will address the badge situation in due course.”
Together, the club’s leadership is committed to honoring Yeovil Town’s heritage while securing a sustainable future for the Glovers, beginning with the goal of owning Huish Park once more.
