Brackley Town secured their third consecutive victory in the National League by edging out Yeovil Town 2-1 at St James Park.
The match started strongly for Brackley with Shane Byrne capitalizing on a defensive error to put the Saints ahead in the third minute. Yeovil responded quickly as defender Kyle Ferguson leveled the score with a goal in the 12th minute.
However, just before halftime, Brackley reclaimed the lead when Ben Wodskou expertly finished a pass from Scott Pollock. Yeovil pressed for an equalizer late in the game, but Luke McCormick’s low shot was denied by Brackley’s goalkeeper Cameron Gregory, sealing the victory for the home side.
