Yeovil Town Narrowly Defeated 1-0 by Scunthorpe United

Scunthorpe United extended their unbeaten National League streak to five games with a narrow 1-0 victory over Yeovil Town at the Attis Arena. The match’s only goal came in the 22nd minute when Tyrell Sellars-Fleming capitalized on a loose ball after Declan Howe dispossessed Yeovil’s goalkeeper Jed Ward, sliding the ball into an open net.

Yeovil pushed hard for an equalizer, with Alfie Beestin firing a shot wide and James Plant’s effort brilliantly saved by Scunthorpe keeper Rory Mahady, who made an impressive home debut. Ward also thwarted Howe’s attempts while Zain Westbrooke’s follow-up flew over the bar, and Carlton Ubaezuonu dragged another shot wide.

Despite several opportunities, Yeovil could not find the net, marking their fourth defeat in five games and dropping them to 18th place in the league.
