Yeovil Town Names Danny Webb as New First Team Manager

Yeovil Town Football Club has appointed Danny Webb as their new First Team Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the club. Webb, who briefly played for Yeovil Town, brings a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch to Huish Park.

At 42 years old, Webb’s football journey spans from professional playing stints— including a meaningful period at Yeovil— to a successful coaching career. His progression through the ranks at Leyton Orient saw him lead youth squads to significant victories, including a national cup win with the U16s and an undefeated season guiding the U18s to claim the Merit League Two title. Webb also played an instrumental role in Leyton Orient’s triumphant return to the Football League as National League champions during the 2018/19 season, along with reaching the FA Trophy Final at Wembley.

In 2021, Webb enhanced his managerial credentials at Chesterfield as Assistant Manager, where his leadership was key in the club’s revival. During his tenure, Chesterfield secured three consecutive National League play-off appearances, achieved promotion as National League champions in the 2023/24 season under Paul Cook, and made a strong impact in their first League Two play-off run back in the EFL.

Webb’s commitment to Yeovil Town is reflected in his new contract, which runs through the summer of 2027. The club expressed enthusiasm about his appointment, anticipating that his leadership will drive the Glovers’ ambition and growth.

While Richard Dryden will manage the team for the upcoming weekend, Danny Webb will officially take charge next week in preparation for Yeovil’s away fixture against Tamworth.
