Yeovil Town continued their strong start to the National League season by securing a hard-fought 3-2 win against Tamworth at Huish Park. The match, witnessed by 3,945 supporters, marked Yeovil’s third consecutive victory, lifting Billy Rowley’s squad to fourth place in the early standings.
The Glovers took the lead in the 17th minute thanks to an in-form Luke McCormick. However, Tamworth responded before half-time with an equaliser from Jake Hutchinson, bringing the score to 1-1 at the interval.
Early in the second half, Yeovil regained the advantage as Mason Obeng fired a precise low shot into the corner, putting the home side ahead. On 66 minutes, Ryan Jones extended Yeovil’s lead by beating former Cheltenham goalkeeper Rhys Lovett.

Tamworth quickly narrowed the gap through Kieren Donnelly, and late in the match, Haydn Hollis appeared to have secured a last-minute equaliser for the visitors. However, after a delay, the goal was disallowed, preserving Yeovil’s lead.
In stoppage time, Yeovil had a chance to seal the victory with a penalty, but McCormick’s effort struck the post. Nonetheless, the final whistle confirmed Yeovil’s 3-2 victory, maintaining their excellent run with 11 points from their opening five games.
