Yeovil Town Hold On for a Draw Despite Red Card at Aldershot

Yeovil Town battled hard to secure a 1-1 draw against Aldershot Town in the National League, despite being reduced to ten men early in the game. The visitors started brightly, with Ryan Jones setting up Zain Westbrooke, whose square pass was neatly finished by Slavi Spasov at the back post after just 12 minutes, giving Yeovil the lead.

However, the Glovers' advantage was soon compromised when defender Loick Ayina received a straight red card before the half-hour mark. Ayina lost control of the ball and was then penalised for a dangerous high tackle on Basil Tuma.

Playing with a man down, Yeovil showed great resilience but Aldershot continued to pressure. The hosts eventually found an equaliser in the 66th minute. Following a scramble in the Yeovil penalty area, Michee Efete was judged to have touched the ball last, securing a well-earned point for Aldershot.
