Yeovil Town were denied an opening day victory after Luke Brennan scored a last-minute goal to secure a 1-1 draw for Scunthorpe United in the Enterprise National League.
The match began with early chances for both teams. Pat Jones had a goal chalked off for Scunthorpe, while Yeovil’s Ryan Jones tested keeper Louis Jones with a well-placed effort. The game remained goalless until four minutes into the second half when Mason Obeng capitalised on a Glovers free-kick, putting Yeovil ahead.
However, the home side’s hopes of a win were dashed in the final minute when Brennan found the net with a precise angled finish, much to the delight of the 5,111 fans at the Attis Arena. The late goal ensured the points were shared, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.
