Yeovil Town ended Kidderminster Harriers’ remarkable eight-game unbeaten run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Aggborough Stadium. The win allowed the Glovers to climb into the play-off places, with both teams occupying the final two spots that offer a chance for promotion.
The match was closely contested, with numerous scoring opportunities at both ends. However, the breakthrough came in the 74th minute when Yeovil’s Johl Powell skilfully manoeuvred through the defence before calmly slotting the ball past Kidderminster’s goalkeeper, Jack Wint.
Despite Kidderminster’s efforts to level the score, including a close-range effort from Callum Stewart that was brilliantly tipped around the post by the Yeovil goalkeeper just five minutes after conceding, they were unable to find an equaliser.
This defeat marked only the second loss of the season for Kidderminster under the management of Paul Wotton, a former Yeovil player. Since their opening day 3-0 loss to Hornchurch, Kidderminster had remained unbeaten, making this result a significant one in the National League South standings.
