Scunthorpe United extended their unbeaten run in the National League to five games with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Yeovil Town at the Attis Arena.
The match’s only goal came in the 22nd minute when Tyrell Sellars-Fleming capitalized on a defensive mistake. Declan Howe made a crucial sliding tackle to win the ball from Yeovil’s goalkeeper Jed Ward and immediately provided an assist, allowing Sellars-Fleming to tap into an open net.
Yeovil pushed for an equalizer, with Alfie Beestin’s shot going just wide and James Plant almost scoring, but Scunthorpe goalkeeper Rory Mahady, making his home debut, stood firm with a series of important saves.

Both teams had chances, with Ward denying Howe and Zain Westbrooke’s follow-up effort sailing over the bar. Carlton Ubaezuonu also dragged a shot wide for the visitors, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Yeovil now faces their fourth loss in five games, dropping them to 18th place in the league standings as they look to end their winless streak.
