Aaron Blair’s brace propelled Eastleigh to a crucial 2-1 victory over Yeovil Town, bringing the Spitfires significantly closer to safety in the Enterprise National League.
Blair, Eastleigh’s top scorer, extended his season tally to 17 goals, helping end a five-match winless streak. With three games left, Eastleigh now sit seven points clear of the relegation zone, firmly cementing their chance of survival.
Despite Yeovil goalkeeper Jed Ward’s impressive performance — denying Blair three times as well as blocking a shot from Jake Vokins — Eastleigh broke through just after half an hour. Blair opened the scoring before adding a sublime curling strike in the 57th minute to double the advantage.
