Yeovil Town Fall 2-1 to Eastleigh But Secure National League Survival

Eastleigh edged past Yeovil Town 2-1 in a crucial Enterprise National League clash, propelled by top scorer Aaron Blair’s decisive brace. With this victory, Eastleigh ended a five-match winless streak and strengthened their bid to avoid relegation, moving seven points clear of the drop zone with just three games left in the season.

Blair, who now has 17 league goals this season, broke the deadlock shortly after the half-hour mark despite several saves by Yeovil’s goalkeeper Jed Ward, who denied Blair and teammate Jake Vokins multiple times. In the 57th minute, Blair expertly curled a shot into the top corner for his second goal of the match—his first since a six-game drought.

Yeovil fought back in stoppage time with Dan Ellison netting a late consolation goal, but the result confirmed Yeovil Town’s survival in the National League for the next season.
