Yeovil Town finally snapped their three-match winless streak in the Enterprise National League by defeating relegation-threatened Braintree 3-1 at Huish Park.
The Glovers appeared to take the lead in the 25th minute when Kyle Ferguson’s header found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. It wasn’t long, however, before Yeovil went ahead just after the hour mark. Luke McCormick capitalized on a rebound to open the scoring.
Shortly after, James Daly doubled Yeovil’s advantage with a well-timed header following a save from Mason Terry in the 65th minute. Braintree fought back in the 70th minute when Lewis Walker unleashed a powerful shot that found the back of the net, narrowing the scoreline.

Despite the pressure, Yeovil sealed the victory late in the game. Brett McGavin’s expertly taken free-kick deflected past Terry, confirming a 3-1 win for the Glovers and a positive start to 2026.
