Yeovil Town Chairman Outlines Ambitious Vision in Open Letter to Fans

Yeovil Town chairman Prabhu Srinivasan has addressed supporters with an inspiring message following the club’s National League season. The Glovers concluded their campaign in 16th place in the fifth tier, accumulating 51 points from 46 matches, including 15 victories.

Despite a disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Solihull Moors in their final game, Srinivasan expressed optimism about the club’s direction. Central to his message was a firm commitment to reuniting Huish Park with Yeovil Town, a strategic priority under active discussion. The club has extended its buyback rights for the stadium until 2028, a key milestone in that long-term plan.

Reflecting on the season, Srinivasan praised the efforts of players, staff, and fans alike. “Your dedication has been evident through every high and setback,” he said. “Our club motto, Achieve by Unity, remains our guiding principle.”

He credited the appointment of Billy Rowley as manager in November for stabilizing the team and improving standards on and off the pitch. Alongside director of football Darren Simpson, the football department has steered the club towards safety with games to spare, despite a challenging start to the season. This success required difficult decisions, including parting ways with personnel whose values did not align with the club’s vision.

Looking ahead, Srinivasan confirmed plans to increase the playing budget to strengthen the squad, with recruitment already underway. The club emphasizes developing local talent and will continue first-team training at SGS Wise Campus, which provides professional facilities crucial for player development and squad cohesion.

In addition, Yeovil Town has appointed a new sporting director with Football League experience. This role will focus on unifying the club’s identity and values across all levels, from the first team to the academy, fostering sustainable growth.

Off the pitch, improvements continue at Huish Park, where floodlights have been upgraded to meet EFL standards, pitch drainage enhanced, and the 3G pitch and lighting improved to support youth and women’s teams. The club is also committed to raising the stadium’s presentation to ensure it is a source of pride for all connected with Yeovil Town.

Financial sustainability remains a key focus. The club is managing historic commitments, including Sport England repayments, carefully as part of its long-term strategy.

Srinivasan also highlighted the club’s strong community engagement. Yeovil Town works closely with local groups such as The Hub, the Disabled Supporters Association, the Dementia Café, and the Yeovil Town Community Trust, supporting education, health, and opportunities across the region. Partnerships with local businesses and the Somerset Chamber of Commerce further cement the club’s deep roots in the area.

In closing, Srinivasan said: “The foundations are in place—on the pitch, off it, and in the structures we are building. Next season will be about building on the lessons learned and moving forward together.”
