Yeovil Town ended their three-game winless streak in the National League by defeating fellow strugglers Braintree 3-1 at Huish Park. Despite an early disallowed goal by Kyle Ferguson for offside in the 25th minute, the Glovers took control in the second half.
Just after the hour mark, Luke McCormick opened the scoring by converting a rebound. Shortly after, James Daly doubled Yeovil’s lead with a well-placed header following a saved attempt by Mason Terry in the 65th minute.
Braintree attempted a comeback when Lewis Walker unleashed a powerful shot to pull a goal back with 20 minutes remaining. However, Yeovil sealed the victory late on when Brett McGavin’s free-kick was deflected past the Braintree goalkeeper.
