Yeovil Town Back to Winning Ways with 3-2 Victory Over Morecambe

Yeovil Town ended a challenging run by clinching a thrilling 3-2 victory over relegation-threatened Morecambe in the Enterprise National League at Huish Park.

The Glovers took an early lead when Brett McGavin unleashed a powerful long-range shot in the 10th minute to put Yeovil ahead. However, Morecambe responded before halftime, with Gwion Edwards netting his fourth goal of the season to level the score.

Just before the hour mark, Yeovil reclaimed the lead through James Daly, who expertly placed a shot into the bottom corner. Daly nearly doubled his tally moments later but missed an opportunity to extend the lead. Seconds after Daly’s chance, January signing Ryan Jones doubled Yeovil’s advantage, weaving through a crowded penalty area to score his second goal for the club.

Morecambe fought back once more when Jack Nolan converted a penalty in the 76th minute, but Yeovil’s defence held firm in the closing stages to secure the win.

This result lifts Yeovil Town away from the relegation zone and injects renewed confidence as they look to build momentum for the remainder of the season.
