Yeovil Town and Halifax Town Settle for Goalless Draw at Huish Park

Yeovil Town secured a goalless draw at Huish Park against play-off hopefuls Halifax Town, dealing a significant blow to Halifax’s National League ambitions.

Halifax’s early efforts were thwarted by home goalkeeper Jed Ward, who comfortably saved a shot from Jay Turner-Cooke before making a more challenging stop against Josh Hmami. Ward’s heroics continued just before half-time, denying another curling attempt from Turner-Cooke.

Halifax’s Billy Waters squandered a golden opportunity to break the deadlock when he fired over the bar from close range. At the other end, Yeovil’s Terrell Works was denied a chance by Halifax keeper Sam Johnson.

In the final stages, Turner-Cooke almost snatched a late winner for Halifax, clipping the top of the crossbar from near halfway. As a result, Halifax remain five points adrift of seventh-placed Southend, who have the advantage of two games in hand, dimming their play-off hopes.
