Yeovil Town and Halifax Town Battle to a Goalless Draw at Huish Park

Yeovil Town hosted Halifax Town at Huish Park in a tightly contested National League match that ended in a 0-0 draw. Halifax’s hopes of reaching the play-offs were dealt a significant blow, as they remain five points adrift of seventh-placed Southend United, who also hold two games in hand.

The match featured notable goalkeeping performances, particularly from Yeovil’s Jed Ward. Early on, Ward comfortably saved a shot from Jay Turner-Cooke, and later faced a tougher challenge from Josh Hmami. Just before half-time, Ward was alert to deny another curling effort by Turner-Cooke, keeping the scoreline level.

Halifax came close to breaking the deadlock when Billy Waters squandered a golden opportunity by shooting over from close range. On the flip side, Yeovil’s Sam Johnson prevented Terrell Works from scoring, preserving the stalemate.

In the final moments, Turner-Cooke nearly changed the outcome with a remarkable attempt from around halfway, clipping the top of the bar. Despite the missed chances, neither side could find a breakthrough, resulting in a goalless stalemate that leaves Halifax’s play-off ambitions hanging by a thread.
