Yeovil Dunelm Store Set to Reopen After Fire

After a devastating fire in August 2024, the Dunelm store in Yeovil is finally set to reopen on Tuesday, December 16. The fire caused substantial damage to the building and forced the store to close for over a year. Thanks to extensive renovations, the community can now look forward to a brighter and more spacious shopping experience.

Kelly Warnock, Store Coach at Dunelm Yeovil, expressed the team’s excitement: “Reopening our Yeovil store is a really special moment for all of us. The fire was devastating for our team and the community, but we’ve had incredible support throughout the rebuilding process. Our store is now full of inspiration, and we can’t wait to welcome customers back.”

The fire, which started in the roof space, severely damaged about 30% of the building and ruined all its contents due to smoke and water. Multiple fire crews quickly responded to the blaze, using ladders, hose reels, and breathing apparatus to bring it under control. Nearby roads and the bus station were temporarily closed during the emergency.

To celebrate the grand reopening, the first 100 customers will receive exclusive goody bags filled with Dunelm products. Additionally, 20 ‘golden tickets’ with vouchers ranging from £5 to £20 will be hidden throughout the store for lucky customers to find.

The revamped Dunelm Yeovil will also feature a Pausa Café offering a ‘Kids Eat Free’ deal year-round, where children can enjoy a free mini meal with every £4 spent by an accompanying adult.

Yeovil’s Dunelm store looks forward to welcoming back the local community and providing a refreshed shopping destination when it reopens on December 16.
