The UK housing market has seen intense demand from buyers, leading to the strongest sellers’ market in a decade. Although the demand has cooled since the peak of 2021, a town in Somerset has emerged as one of the prime hotspots for sellers, as per the latest research from Rightmove.
Yeovil, located in South Somerset, has secured the fifth spot on the list of top seller hotspots, with Grays in Essex and Mangotsfield near Bristol claiming the first and second positions. These towns share common characteristics such as good commuter links to major cities, affordable housing, reputable schools, and abundant open space.
