The family of Mike Shepherd, a beloved father who tragically lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash, have shared heartfelt tributes in his memory. The 50-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of a collision on Sunday, July 27, involving a grey Audi A7, a blue Ford Mondeo, and his Kawasaki motorbike near Swyre.
Mike’s family described him as a “wonderful human being” — a loving son, devoted brother, caring father, uncle, and grandfather. His passion for bikes and cars was lifelong, beginning in his teenage years and remaining a central part of his life throughout his many journeys and adventures.
“He will be greatly missed by so many and died doing what he loved best,” the family stated.

The incident occurred at 10:46 a.m. on the B3157 Coast Road near Swyre. Fortunately, the drivers of the other vehicles escaped without injury. Dorset Police attended the scene and have appealed to the public for any witnesses or dashcam footage that could assist with their investigation.
