An 80-year-old man was assaulted and injured near a well-known Bath landmark in a troubling incident on Saturday afternoon. The attack took place around 3:45 pm on Argyle Street, close to the iconic Pulteney Bridge.
Avon and Somerset Police report that the victim fell to the ground during the assault, sustaining a head injury and cuts to his knuckles. Authorities have identified a woman in her 50s, accompanied by a dog, as the suspect in this case.
Law enforcement officers have carried out CCTV reviews and door-to-door inquiries as part of their ongoing investigation. They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the event or has information that might aid the investigation to come forward.
