Woman Rescued After Crashing Vehicle Into House in Crewkerne

In the early hours of Sunday, May 18, a woman was trapped in her vehicle after crashing into a house in Crewkerne. The incident, which occurred shortly after 3 a.m., prompted a swift response from fire crews stationed in Yeovil and Crewkerne.

According to a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, fire control received an emergency call reporting the collision. Firefighters from both stations were dispatched immediately to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle had collided with a house, and the female driver remained inside.

The rescue team worked diligently to stabilize the vehicle before safely extricating the woman using specialized road traffic collision equipment and a hose reel jet. The woman was successfully removed from the vehicle without further incident.
