Woman Injured in Christmas Day Dog Attack in Bridgwater

A woman in her late 60s was injured when two dogs reportedly broke free from their lead and attacked her while she was walking her dog on Christmas Day in Bridgwater.

The incident occurred between 5.15 pm and 5.30 pm near the junction of Coleridge Green and Coleridge Road, just outside Victoria Park. The attacking dogs are believed to be Cane Corso-type breeds.

During the attack, the woman’s dog suffered a puncture wound, and the woman herself fell, sustaining a dislocated and fractured right wrist. She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
