A tragic motorbike accident near Bristol Airport has claimed the life of a woman in her 20s. The fatal collision occurred on Wednesday, April 29, on Brockley Combe Road near Backwell, North Somerset.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 5:50 pm after a collision between a motorcycle and a grey Ford Puma traveling in opposite directions. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the female motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car remained at the location and is cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation. Authorities have informed the woman’s family, who are receiving support from specially-trained officers during this difficult time.
