Edden Dreiman, based in San Diego, recently shared an extraordinary discovery on her Instagram account. During a visit to her local charity shop, she stumbled upon an entire Le Creuset cookware collection displayed inside a glass cabinet.
The collection was notable not only for its completeness but also for the uniform Sea Salt colour-a subtle, blue-tinged green that adds an elegant touch. Among the pieces were two large oven dishes in different sizes, a lidded pot, several Dutch ovens, a shallow casserole dish with a lid, and other cookware items.

Although the prices ranged from $79 (£58) to $99 (£73) per piece-higher than typical second-hand shop prices-this represented significant savings compared to buying the items new. Edden purchased two of the oven dishes, a third oven dish with a slightly different design, a Modern Heritage round casserole dish with lid, the shallow dish, and one of the Dutch ovens with lid.
Had these been purchased new, their combined value would have exceeded £1,400, with individual items costing over £350 at retail.
Edden chose not to disclose the exact amount she paid, but the visible price tags indicated a remarkable bargain. Capturing her excitement, she posted, “Someone come check on me because I fear I have died and gone to thrift heaven!”
Her find quickly captivated her followers, who flooded the comments with amazement and admiration for both the rarity and the stunning Sea Salt colour. One follower exclaimed, “NOOOO WAY!
