A woman in her 70s tragically died in a car crash in Burnham-on-Sea on the evening of Thursday, January 22. The collision, which involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, occurred on Berrow Road at 7:19 pm.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the woman’s death at the scene. While formal identification is still pending, authorities have informed her next of kin and are providing them support through a specially trained family liaison officer.
The driver of the car was unharmed. Berrow Road was temporarily closed for several hours to allow investigators to examine the scene but has since reopened.
