Woman Dies in Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision on A37 Near Somerset

A 49-year-old woman tragically lost her life following a two-vehicle collision on the A37 near Maiden Newton, Somerset, on Wednesday, October 22. The crash involved a black Kia Niro and a grey Peugeot 107.

The driver of the Peugeot, a resident of Weymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Her family has been informed, and authorities are offering their condolences during this difficult time.

The A37 was closed for several hours to enable a thorough investigation by specialist officers. Dorset Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage related to the incident to come forward and assist the inquiry.

Police Sergeant Mike Burt of the Serious Collision Investigation Team stated, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased.
