A woman tragically passed away after experiencing a medical emergency on the A38 in Somerset.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the A38 Taunton Road in Bridgwater at approximately 7:40 pm on March 19. Police officers, land ambulance crews, and an air ambulance rapidly responded to the scene.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the woman died at the location and that her next of kin have been notified. Authorities emphasized that her death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police stated, “We attended a medical incident on the A38 Taunton Road, Bridgwater, at around 7:40 pm on Thursday, March 19. Ambulance crews responded promptly, and sadly, the woman died at the scene. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
The South Western Ambulance Service Trust added, “We received the call at 7:54 pm on Thursday, March 19. We dispatched two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, and a responding officer to the location in Bridgwater.”
