A woman is fighting for her life following a severe crash on the A36 in Wiltshire during the early hours. The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 am on the southbound stretch between Warminster and Deptford.
According to Wiltshire Police, the driver—a woman in her 40s—lost control of her white Ford Mondeo as the road transitions into a dual carriageway. The vehicle overturned and came to rest in the central reservation. She was promptly taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
As a result, the A36 remains closed between Deptford and Fisherton de la Mere, with roadblocks expected to persist through the morning and into early afternoon. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage to reach out to the Serious Collision Investigation Team.
