Woman collapsed at Weston-super-Mare football game

A woman collapsed during the National League South clash between Weston-super-Mare and Tonbridge Angels football clubs. The match was abandoned after a serious medical incident, with the woman being taken to the hospital where she was reported to be conscious and responsive.

The referee stopped the game following the medical emergency in the crowd and confirmed the abandonment at 5.08pm on the same day. Weston-super-Mare AFC took to Twitter to update on the woman’s health, expressing their gratitude for the swift and professional response from all involved, including both clubs' medical teams, security personnel, club staff, supporters, and the ambulance service.

The future status of the fixture with Tonbridge Angels is to be determined. Weston-super-Mare AFC are currently eighth in the table, vying for a play-off spot in the league.
