Will Roue has taken the next step in his rugby career by signing his first professional contract with Bath Rugby.
The young fly-half impressed during Bath’s PREM Rugby Cup campaign in the 2025/26 season, prompting the club to secure his services on a longer-term basis. Roue’s performances have demonstrated his potential to become a key player for the Blue, Black and White.
Roue previously starred for the University of Bath’s BUCS Super Rugby team, who achieved significant success with him at fly-half. He has already gained valuable experience at senior level, making six appearances for Bath during last season’s PREM Rugby Cup, including starting in the semi-final against Leicester Tigers.

In addition to his club commitments, Roue has represented Team Bath and played for England Universities in a match against their French counterparts.
Reflecting on his new contract, Roue said, “I feel very privileged to be signing at Bath Rugby, and to be involved in a world-class environment. Playing professional rugby has always been a dream of mine and I’m looking forward to continuing my journey and my development.”
The departure of 22-year-old former England U20 fly-half Sam Harris to Exeter Chiefs this summer has left an opening at Bath, and Roue is viewed as a natural successor capable of adding depth behind first-choice fly-halves Finn Russell and Santi Carreras.
Fly-half has been a challenging position for Bath in recent years, with centre Max Ojomoh and scrum-half Tom Carr-smith often having to cover the role as improvised solutions. Head Coach van Graan will be hoping Roue’s progression helps the team move away from such measures in the future.
