Why Ten Somerset Loungers Cafes Will Close for One Day Only

On Monday, June 9, ten Loungers café bars across Somerset will close for a single day to host a large-scale staff party called LoungeFest. This annual event celebrates the hard work and commitment of more than 9,000 Loungers employees nationwide. Locations impacted include Bath, Yeovil, Keynsham, Weston-super-Mare, Frome, Street, Wells, Portishead, Nailsea, and Clevedon.

LoungeFest has been a cherished tradition since 2013, designed to thank staff with a day of fun and festivities. This year’s celebration will take place at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire and embrace an “At the Movies” theme. Employees can expect fairground rides, DJ performances, live music from bands and Loungers staff, games, and numerous food and drink options—all offered free of charge.

Guy Youll, Chief People Officer at Loungers, shared, “Back in 2013, we were pioneers in the hospitality industry by organizing an event like LoungeFest. We’re proud it has grown each year while staying true to its roots. Our teams work tirelessly, and this event is our way of showing appreciation for their dedication and hospitality excellence. It’s set to be an unforgettable party!”
