England star tighthead prop Will Stuart has confirmed his future with Bath Rugby by signing a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season. The British and Irish Lion has been a pivotal figure for Bath, making 105 appearances since joining from Wasps in 2019.
Stuart’s milestone 100th game arrived during Bath’s thrilling Gallagher Premiership victory in the 2024/25 season. Over the past five years, he has developed into a key player, earning 53 caps for England and becoming a British and Irish Lion in 2025. That summer, he toured Australia and contributed to the Lions’ memorable victory over the Wallabies.
Currently recovering from an Achilles injury, the 29-year-old remains committed to returning stronger, with Bath fully investing in his long-term future. Reflecting on his decision to stay, Stuart said, “I can’t really put into words the contrast from the 2021/22 season. Losing at Sixways in the last game and confirming our place at the bottom of the table, to last summer when the streets were alive with fans celebrating our success – pride doesn’t do it justice. So, who wouldn’t want to give it another crack?”

Bath’s head of rugby Johann van Graan praised Stuart’s contributions: “It’s been incredible to share this journey with Stuey over the last three and a half years. He came into his own in 2025, shining for England and the Lions. More importantly, he has been a rock for Bath. We look forward to him being a cornerstone of not just our pack but the entire team.”
