Weston-super-Mare experienced their first National League South defeat of the season in a thrilling encounter at the Optima Stadium, where Dover Athletic claimed a 3-2 victory in front of 1,057 spectators.
The match began with Dover putting early pressure on the Weston defence, as Jalen Jones and Rolando Onu each forced saves from Weston goalkeeper Max Harris. Weston responded when Luke Coulson narrowly missed with a shot on goal.
Dover opened the scoring on the half-hour mark. Decarry Sherriff was fouled in the box and subsequently converted the resulting penalty, sending Harris the wrong way.

Weston fought back and levelled the score in the 38th minute when Louis Britton capitalised on a cut-back from the byline, firing home from 12 yards.
In the second half, Sean Long came close for Weston with a header saved by the Dover goalkeeper, while Sherriff volleyed over the crossbar for Dover.
Weston regained the lead on 56 minutes as Jacob Jagger-Cane set up Britton to score his second goal of the match.
Dover responded with Euan Williams equalising in the 76th minute. The hosts were stunned when, in the first minute of stoppage time, Corie Andrews scored a spectacular 25-yard strike into the top corner to seal a dramatic victory for Dover Athletic.
