Weston-super-Mare have reignited their National League South play-off aspirations with two impressive victories in just four days. Following a narrow 1-0 win against AFC Totton on Tuesday, Weston secured a 2-0 triumph over Hampton & Richmond at the Optima Stadium.
The match saw Weston fiercely challenge for the opener, with Scott Bennett heading a Luke Coulson free-kick just over the crossbar and Ollie Dewsbury’s header saved early on. The decisive breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Louis Britton expertly finished a low cross from Will Dawes, giving Weston the lead.
Weston kept pressing in the second half, and Luke Spokes nearly doubled the advantage with a well-struck half-volley that was tipped over the crossbar. On 71 minutes, Dewsbury sealed the victory, tapping in a pass from Coulson to give Weston the confidence-boosting two-goal cushion.

Meanwhile, Bath City demonstrated resilience in their National League South clash at Twerton Park, fighting back from two goals down to earn a hard-fought draw against in-form Hornchurch.
Hornchurch’s Henry Sandat was the early star, scoring twice before halftime (11 and stoppage time) to put the visitors firmly in control. However, Sandat’s frustration boiled over in the 67th minute when he was sent off following an elbow incident, giving Bath a lifeline.
Taking advantage of their numerical advantage, Bath’s Jack Batten set up Scott Wilson, who scored to start the comeback in the 58th minute. Five minutes after the red card, Bath leveled the match when Kieran Parselle’s header was flicked on by Batten into the net.
Despite relentless pressure and ten minutes of added time, Bath could not find a winning goal. Nevertheless, their gritty and determined performance provides hope as they fight to maintain their National League South status.
