This August, young performers in Somerset have a unique opportunity to experience West End-level theatre training right in their hometown. Rachel Rawlins, a celebrated stage actress known for her roles in productions such as Shucked at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Six the Musical at the Vaudeville Theatre, and Heathers at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, will be leading the Musical Theatre Summer School at Taunton Brewhouse.
Running from Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15, this intensive five-day program offers teens aged 13 to 19 an exceptional chance to hone their skills in singing, dancing, and acting. Under Rachel’s expert guidance, participants will engage in immersive workshops designed to boost creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
Over the course of the week, students will develop and rehearse an original piece that will be showcased in a final performance for family and friends. Rachel enthused, “Bring your jazz hands! We’re going to have an incredible week of learning and creating. I can’t wait to be inspired by Taunton’s talent!”
