Wells Carnival 2025: Essential Guide to Road Closures, Parking, Timings, and Viewing Spots

If you haven’t yet enjoyed the carnival season this year, there’s still time to catch the excitement. Wells Carnival will take place on Friday, November 14, followed by Glastonbury Carnival on Saturday, November 15. Both events promise a dazzling display of elaborately crafted carts and lively processions that attract tens of thousands of spectators.

For those planning to attend Wells Carnival, the procession kicks off at 7 pm from the Sherston Inn Roundabout. Here is all the essential information to ensure your evening runs smoothly.

Road Closures and Access
To maintain safety and smooth flow during the carnival, several road closures will be enforced from Friday evening into Saturday. Access to Morrisons Supermarket via the Glastonbury Road (Tincknells) roundabout remains open until 6 pm on Friday, November 14. After this time, key roads will close to all traffic.
